SHAME ON YOU
Shame is a human condition we usually avoid. A condition we move away from. A condition that “keeps us in place”.
Shame often takes our power away, makes us small and makes us hide and suppress our desires and longings. Our goal is not to heal the shame - we do not believe that all shame needs healing. Our goal is to expand our capacity to enjoy our shame.
Together we will explore what happens when we express and play with the many opportunities in the often very juicy landscapes of shame.
In this workshop we will play with our own and others' shame to make it a welcome lover in your life. To meet your own shadows and shame, to witness others and yourself play out shameful fantasies in a shared experience expands our playground and interactions with ourselves and others. To be seen in your deepest most shameful moments can create deep and meaningful connections, not only to other people but also to yourself.
We believe that in order to play in the dark landscapes of shame, we need to build a strong foundation of trust and security in the group, to have a communal experience.
To establish this we will begin the workshop with movement, meditation and boundary work and from there move into individual and communal exercises and rituals to play out shame and witness others.
Who is it for?
This workshop is for all genders and sexualities. It is for anyone who has experience in sex-inclusive spaces, experience in dealing with difficult emotions who is willing to experiment and go to new places, who is willing to share their shame. You might get equally triggered and aroused.
We will do exercises as individuals and in groups, some will require touch and connection to others. We will primarily work with random group pairings and you can therefore expect to do exercises both with same and different genders than yourself. You should generally be open to exploring the vast range of experiences that working with different partners can provide. All exercises are invitations, you are always free to step out at any point.

About the facilitators
Anitta comes from the world of theater, dance, yoga and meditation. She is also an educated systemic, narrative and imago therapist. She has many years of experience in teaching rope bondage, teaching couples and bigger groups. She moved very fast from the Japanese bondage style into a more free creative tying style. She teaches all levels, with focus on how to explore and expand ways you can tie, play with each other, move and dance together. She is passionate about creating playful spaces where people connect deeply with themselves and others. She embraces the awkward and weird, and also likes to go slow and deep.
Gabrielle has been a familiar face in the Copenhagen kink scene for the past 8 years. In recent years she has been involved in organizing and facilitating events such as Ropetogether and The Conscious kink sessions. Most recently she has become part of the core group of facilitators at House of Play where she primarily teaches workshops on consent, confidence and authenticity in play and rope bondage, and facilitates rituals and play spaces. She has been teaching at rope festivals with Anitta including at Eurix spring 2024, where they will return in 2025. Gabrielle is passionate about continuously learning and staying curious, playing with authenticity and humour, and how awareness of our sexuality can bring deeper connections to ourselves and others.
