Boris Mosafir is one of the most exciting riggers on the Russian scene. He is known for his unusual, dramatic style, a sophisticated, eclectic technique, sometimes with minimal, sometimes with lavishly baroque use of rope, as well as fast but efficient suspensions. He is known to the Berlin scene through his charismatic stage persona and several impressive performances at EURIX. His teaching is characterized by attention, patience and humor.
Boris Mosafir ist einer der aufregendsten Rigger der russischen Szene. Er ist bekannt für seinen ungewöhnlichen, dramatischen Stil, eine ausgefeilte, eklektische Technik, teils mit minimalem, teils mit verschwenderisch-barockem Einsatz von Seil, sowie schnellen, aber effizienten Suspensions. Er ist der Berliner Szene durch seine charismatische Bühnenpersönlichkeit und mehrere eindrucksvolle Auftritte bei der EURIX bekannt. Sein Unterricht ist geprägt von Aufmerksamkeit, Geduld und Humor.

Gote shibari, variations and half suspensions // Advanced beginners & Intermediate
"We will fundamentally study 5 -7 different ways of creating a chest harness. Moreover, we will discuss the basics of designing and using various patterns. All the harnesses are suitable for suspensions as well. How many harnesses we study will depend on the level of the participants.
Further more we will learn techniques for a low suspension point and half suspensions, as well as dynamic bondage on the floor. I will also demonstrate my ways to make bondage exciting and surprising and we’ll talk about using a wide range of possible stimulations and impact."

Mosafir’s Anti-Gote shibari style and Chaotic Rope”// Intermediate & Advanced
"Here we will learn arms and chest harnesses other than the Gote. Several ways to tie the chest with hands in front, above or behind. These techniques are a bit more extreme compared to the gote shibari, but they give your partner a diffferent experience and provide unusual sensations. These harnesses are suitable for suspensions as well.
We will further more explore "chaotic binding", i.e. Bondage techniques without the use of schemes. The style is characterized by increased dynamics and emotional intensity. I show you techniques that make this bondage possible for use in suspensions."

I became interested in shibari in the summer of 2009. I saw the pictures and fell in love with shibari. As well I became interested in photography and in the spring of 2011 began the organizing of photo exhibition “Captured beauty” dedicated to the shibari. It took place in the St. Petersburg center of culture “Red Flag” in the February of 2012. It was the first Russian shibari-exhibition and it was visited by 2500 people in three weeks. 13 photographers and 12 riggers took part in the exhibition. After the exhibition I decided to do shibari- activities on the more professional level. The specialist store for shibari was opened ( www.ropeshop.ru ) .
As well the school for learning shibari was established (www.ropeschool.ru). In addition to the regular courses in St. Petersburg I give workshops in many russian city and Europ: Tallinn, Riga, Torino, Paris, Rome, Helsinki, Kiev, Kishineu. A creative team “Karada”, which gives shibari-shows and performances, was organized. (www.karada.su)
I develop information resources which tells about both shibari in Russia and around the world (www.shibari.su and https://vk.com/sibari).
Currently I organize tours and classes of European shibari artists in Russia and many events: RopeFest, RopeDay, BondageCafe, NawaYoi, Fetish Faculty, RopeNight. I participated in many parties, exhibitions, festivals and other events. Among those that I would like to emphasize are BoundCon (Munich), X-Show (Moscow), eS.EXpo (St. Petersburg), TattooFest (St. Petersburg), XXXX Fetish Party (St. Petersburg), Japan Night (Tallinn), RopeFest (St. Petersburg), Rope Addiction (Rome), Shibarica (Francfurt), London Festival of the Art of Japanese Bondage (London), BDSM Carnival (Moscow), Moscow Knot (Moscow) and EURIX, Berlin.
